The Robert W. Kirk Award for Professional Excellence

Congratulations to our 2024 Recipient

Edward C. Feldman, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Professor Emeritus, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
"If there were a Mount Rushmore of veterinary small animal internists, Ed Feldman’s visage deserves a spot."
- Sean Hulsebosch, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Dr. Edward Feldman
has been a key figure in veterinary internal medicine for the past five decades, particularly in his role as professor and mentor at the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. His groundbreaking research in veterinary endocrinology, which includes approximately 168 research publications, helped to establish small animal endocrinology as a discipline. Additionally, Dr. Feldman has co-authored and edited seminal veterinary textbooks, including Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Canine and Feline Endocrinology. His extensive teaching record includes thousands of veterinary students, and his contributions and enthusiasm for the field have continued even after his retirement from UC Davis.
