Volunteers Needed for Virtual Focus Groups

Jul 11, 2023, 11:54 AM by The ACVIM

The ACVIM is partnering with to support their research for their new mentorship programming for mid-career veterinarians, which will also be used to create ACVIM-tailored programming for our Diplomates. They are looking for veterinarians to participate in their focus groups as part of the research.

This is the first step in a new partnership with MentorVet, and we hope you’ll consider signing up!  Please read below for details.

______________

We need your help!

Researchers at Lincoln Memorial University are conducting a research study to gain perspective from mid-career veterinarians on experiences and challenges in the veterinary career and important professional skills needed for veterinary practice. They will use the information gathered in the focus group as a guide to develop relevant mentorship and professional development programming for mid-career veterinarians.

If you are a mid-career veterinarian who has graduated within the past 5 to 15 years and at least 18 years old, you may be eligible to participate in this focus group research study. Would you be willing to spend approximately 60-90 minutes of your time to participate in a virtual focus group so we can gain a deeper understanding regarding your career and current experiences?

If you are interested in participating in this focus group research study and you would like more information, visit

Here you can read more about the study and answer pre-screening questions. After completing the pre-screening survey, the researchers will be in contact with you regarding the next steps of the study if you meet the inclusion criteria!

Sincerely,
